It'snow fun

I 'm sorry it took so long to post this I had a hard time prying my hand from the snow shovel  hehehe.
After shooting many pictures of a number of subjects I finally decided on these two, the first one I like because it seems to give the illusion of the subject actually sliding down the hill.
The second shot reveals the end of the slide and the fact that you must be careful where you are sledding.
I hope the rescue team comes soon.

  1. Tom, the first shot looks like the snow is flying around the person's feet. And the second shot is why I don't play in the snow, lol. You missed an amazing show the other night! You should try and find some of the songs on youtube.

  2. Tom these are great. Perfect pictures for what mother nature has been giving us.

  3. These pictures are heartwarming. The subject makes me think of a cozy kitchen smelling of baked cookies (hmmm perhaps it's because he's a gingerbread man in a chef's hat!). They also remind me of how in my own sledding days the bitter cold of the snow didn't matter, I would still be grinning like crazy.... until the guaranteed crash that is....

  4. Tom I feel your pain, I walk with a crooked step when I get up in the morning from shoveling and I'm just a pup compared to you. Nice photos so far.

  5. Very nice. I like the before and after affect. I have to ask, how did u get it to look like it was actually sledding? Thats amazing! The snow actually looks like its being pushed out of the way!

  6. Amanda,
I guess I was a bit lucky with that shot, the effect of him looking like he is really sliding came from the way the snowflakes stuck together after i slid him down the bank for the second shot. I repositioned him several times but that was the only one that the flakes came out like that.

  7. Cute pictures Tom. Your choice of objects shows you have a very fun side! The second photo is neat as it almost shows an outline around the object in the snow. How neat the impression makes around it! Thanks for sharing.

  8. Cute shots, Tom, I appreciate your humor. Just like to point out though that point of view is the same subject, not moved, taken from different angles and heights.
