Filters are a favorite because they are fun to just play with and see what type of effects you can do to a photo, of course always work with a copy so as not to ruin the original.
This first picture I went with the glowing edges and adjusted the edge width and smoothness then covered it with plastic wrap and adjusted highlight strength and detail.

In this pic I solarized it then added a diffused glow.

This next shot I used dodge & burn to change the shadows .

for a little extra fun I used the liquid filter on my woodpecker photo

Tom, your pictures really came out very nicely! Great artistic flare! I also used the glowing edge filter, and really like the cool affect it gives.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Tom, I love how you used multiple filters on one photograph. I used the glowing edges too; however, I really like the effect the plastic wrap filter gives it.
ReplyDeleteYour niece came out really well. It would be fun to get a big print of that one for her room :-)
ReplyDeleteI really love the glowing edges and plastic wrap filters together! It reminds me of when I was a kid and we would be given scratch paper in art class.
ReplyDeleteI like the filter on the second photo. It made the snow-covered field look like a sunset in the desert.
